The Theatre is booming!
Audiences are loving this stormy Shakespeare
Full of booms and roars, The Tempest opened at Hart House Theatre last week and audiences are captivated by Jeremy Hutton's take on Shakespeare's final work.

Prospero and The Tempest Tweeted at opening: "It's only intermission, but I might venture to say that @HHTheatre's The Tempest is single the best staged Shakespeare play I've ever seen!"

From @torontoshowz: "Currently staged at @HHTheatre, The Tempest is a production that has everything (especially set + costumes) on point from start to finish."

From The Varsity: "The acting throughout this play was superb...The Tempest was an exceptionally entertaining piece of theatre."

Below is the stunning trailer created by U of T student, Shashwat Sharma.

A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE

By Tennessee Williams
Nov. 29-Dec. 6, 2014

Blanche is in real need of a protector at this stage in her life when circumstances lead her into paying a visit to her younger sister Stella in New Orleans.

She doesn't understand how Stella, who is expecting her first child, could have picked a husband so lacking in refinement.

Stanley Kowalski's buddies come over to the house to play cards & one of them, Mitch, finds Blanche attractive until Stanley tells him about what kind of a woman Blanche really is.

What will happen when Stella goes to the hospital to have her baby & just Blanche & her brother-in-law are in the house?
