The Importance of Being Earnest, Production Team
A sneak peek of a few of the brilliant production folks creating our first show of the season
As newsletter subscribers, you were introduced to Director Cory Doran in the May 13, 2014, issue and know what a great talented and fun guy he is! We've assembled a fantastic group to help bring his Earnest to life and we'll be introducing you to the full team in the coming weeks. In the meantime, here are two artists that we are pleased to welcome back to Hart House Theatre.

Scott Penner Returning to Hart House Theatre for his seventh production is  Designer Scott Penner. Scott's work was last seen on our stage during Goodnight Desdemona (Good Morning Juliet) when he designed both set and costumes. Scott is designing the set for The Importance of Being Earnest and brings a broad range of experience from theatres across Canada. Scott's bold, imaginative work has been seen at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival, the Grand Theatre (London), the Sudbury Theatre Centre, the Montgomery Theatre (Prince Edward Island), the Globe Theatre (Regina), Angelwalk Theatre (Toronto) and the Winnipeg Studio Theatre.

Ming Wong Costume Designer Ming Wong joins us for her tenth production at Hart House Theatre. Ming is a Toronto-based designer working in the field of costume and clothing. While her main focus is theatrical costume design, she has had the chance to work on a variety of other projects, including advertising and television. Ming also mentors at the Etobicoke School of the Arts in the music theatre and drama departments. Ming continues to create custom clothing and accessories, as well as personal styling and image consulting. See more of her work at www.mingwongdesign.portfoliobox.net
Our History - In the Making!
Spencer MacEachern helps us share our rich history

Hart House Theatre is fortunate to have some fantastic work-study students helping out in a production and administrative capacity each term. One such student was Spencer MacEachern, who recently graduated from U of T. While completing his final term of study, Spencer took a course (HIS495Y1: "History In The Digital Sphere", better known as "Hacking History") where he and his classmates created a digital, online history of Hart House Theatre. We are so proud of his work and hope to build upon the incredible foundation with which he has provided us.
