Greetings!

After an amazing three week run, we have had to say goodbye to Robin Hood: The Legendary Musical Comedy. We haven't had any time to suffer from post-show blues as we have dived into working on our highly anticipated Festival Season. The U of T Drama Festival kicks things off Feb. 13-16, 2013. We are excited to welcome actor Derek Boyes as this year's adjudicator of the student written, directed and acted one-act play festival.

The U of T Dance Festival is also fast approaching. We have included information on how you can participate in the largest University dance festival in Canada in this edition of our e-newsletter.

LAST CHANCE TO SUBMIT FOR THE U OF T

FESTIVAL OF DANCE 2013

There is still time to submit for the 2013 U of T Festival of Dance (FOD). Watch this video on why participating in this unique one-of-a-kind festival is such a great experience.

Festival of Dance 2013 - Now accepting submissions!

Now use the online survey here to submit your dance piece before February 15, 2013.

FOD is a celebration of the diversity and prosperity of the U of T dance community, past events have included over 60 different dance pieces, well over 200 performers and an impressive variety of dance forms including: Jazz, Ballet, Ballroom, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, Irish, Latin and Egyptian Belly Dancing. With such an abundance of dance groups associated with U of T, participation in the festival is a great opportunity for dance groups to promote their own work and ventures, and interact with other dancers and forge collaborations.

The festival is open to any students and/or groups that are affiliated with the U of T community.

For more information please contact Festival Director Melanie Mastronardi at uoft.festivalofdance@gmail.com.

ROBIN HOOD HAS LEFT THE BUILDING

Robin Hood The Legendary Musical Comedy came to a successful close last Saturday. Since then we have received lots of questions about the show - here are the answers to the most popular questions:

Q: Can I see this show again and where?

A: The Hart House run of the production was a tremendous success and we at the Theatre certainly hope that many other people get to see this wonderful new Canadian Musical. To keep the most up to date with the show make sure to visit the official Robin Hood The Legendary Musical Comedy facebook fan page: www.facebook.com/TheBestRobinHoodMusicalEver

Q: Where can I purchase the cast recording?

A: There is no current cast recording of the show - HOWEVER - the writers along with the cast have put together an Indiegogo campaign that will enable a cast recording!  There is just under 25 days left in the campaign and this window is your only way to get a hold of a Robin Hood The Legendary Musical Comedy cast recording - there will not be a public sale of the cd.  Visit http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/robin-hood-the-legendary-musical-comedy-cast-recording?c=home for more information.
