Greetings!

Happy New Year!

We hope that all our readers had a restful and joyous holiday season.

We are kicking off 2013 with the opening of the fourth show in our 2012/2013 season, Robin Hood: The Legendary Musical Comedy. The cast and crew have been working very hard on this hilarious Canadian musical - we can't wait to show you the end result!

UofTTix has now reopened after their holiday break, which means you can once again call (416-978-8849) or visit them in person (11am - 5pm) to purchase your Robin Hood: The Legendary Musical Comedy tickets. As always, tickets are for sale online 24 hours, 7 days a week at www.uofttix.ca.

THE LEGENDARY ROBIN HOOD COMES TO HART HOUSE THEATRE THIS FRIDAY!
He's here! Everyone's favourite dashing, daring and handsome man in tights, Robin of Locksley, will be working to foil the plans of the ridiculously evil Prince John (and his side kick The Sheriff of Nottingham) in Robin Hood: The Legendary Musical Comedy. Joining in on the adventure is the ragtag band of Merry Men, Little John, the beautiful Maid Marian, the unexpectedly feminine Will Scarlet, Friar Tuck, and a slew of new friends Len, Ben, Ken, Glen and Glen. And Sven.

We've got some great rehearsal footage for you to help get you in the mood for Friday's big opening night!

Want a chance to win tickets to see Robin Hood: The Legendary Musical Comedy? In honour of opening week we're running daily contests on the official Robin Hood facebook page! Be sure to check the page everyday this week for your chance to win.

COMING TO A THEATRE NEAR YOU

Acting Up Stage Company and Factory Theatre are thrilled to co-present Do You Want What I Have Got? A Craigslist Cabaret. Having sold out its extended run at Vancouver's PuSh Festival, this original musical by Veda Hille & Bill Richardson sets actual Craigslist postings to music in a 90 minute song-cycle. Both hilarious and surprisingly poignant, Do You Want What I Have Got? explores contemporary humanity through the lens of Craigslist - and online classified site with over 50 million ads.

Factory and Acting Up Stage are also so excited to partner with Jennifer Walls, whom many of you may remember from Hart House Theatre's High Fidelity and Reefer Madness The Musical, and her SINGular Sensation band in throwing an evening of Craigslist inspired cabaret performances... which could be headlined by you! Submit your own video of any Craigslist ad for your chance to win a huge prize package, including tickets to 3 Acting Up Stage and Factory shows. Click here for full contest guidelines.
