More Faster Backwards - November 16

More Faster Backwards In the spring of 1998 Captain Jeffrey and Christine Smith found and fell in love with the M/V David B, and old wooden boat built in 1929. It was just the boat they were looking for to restore to offer small ship adventure cruises. What was originally supposed to be a two-year restoration project, took over eight years of blood, sweat, and uncertainty to make their dream lifestyle come true. More Faster Backwards: Rebuilding David B is the story of their struggle to revive a dying boat and the excitement of running a tour boat in the wilds of Alaska.

Your Gift Makes A Difference

The push of a wooden boat hull in a pond, the grip of a child's tiny fingers on a hammer, and the thrill in a new sailors' eyes as a boat heels over are small but significant moments. They are the pivotal points in which a child might become fascinated with woodworking, or a new sailor might realize that they have the ability to control a boat on their own.

These are the experiences that change lives and redirect futures. Your tax-deductible gift, of even $25, made before December 31st, directly affects the number of young people who learn to sail, the number of historic boats we can maintain and the level of the coffee in our (free) coffee pot in the year ahead. Your gift makes a difference, no matter the size!
