* Sunday Psalm 139:1-10

During your time of prayer, consider the following questions:

--What is the Scripture passage saying to me today?

--Can I accept and apply this message to myself? To my world?

--How will this message change my life?

--What actions are being suggested as my response?

LENTEN LAMBS

During the season of Lent, we invite our members and guests to bring to worship new stuffed small (6"-12") children's toys to leave in the pews through Palm Sunday, March 29.

After that date, they'll be gathered and delivered to hospitalized children.

TODAY we recognize the 2015 UPWARD BASKETBALL SEASON. Many thanks to our players, cheerleaders, parents, coaches, referees, and volunteers who participated and supported the leagues this year. Learn more about our UPWARD programs by contacting Greg Schell.

Tonight, our YOUTH MINISTRY hosts a snack supper at 5:00pm in Fellowship Hall, watch "The Book of Life" in the Youth Activity Center, and gather in worship in the sanctuary. Bring your favorite movie candy, your friends, and your bean bag/floor pillow. Contact Eric Pugh.

GYM CLOSING Our facilities staff is resurfacing the gym floor this week from Sunday afternoon through Saturday. If you will need anything out of the gym storage closet, please remove those items before 3:00pm Sunday.

The RUTH CIRCLE meets at 10:00am in the Fellowship Hall and welcomes guest speaker, Rev. June Franck, who will speak on prayer, the prayer labyrinth, and other ways to experience what God has in store for us. Contact Judy Smith, 817.914.5722.

Thu Mar 12

Last month's LEGAL AID CLINIC served 33 client families with the help of 11 attorneys and 16 paralegals and volunteers. So far this year, we have assisted 51 families in finding help to deal with worldly legal issues. This month's clinic is at 6:00pm in Fellowship Hall. Contact Kim Klieger.

APT G: A PLACE TO GO

APT G is a parent/caregiver respite program, held during the school year, for special needs youth/young adults, grades 6 and up, and their same-aged siblings.

This month's event is March 21, 7:00pm-9:30pm, in the FUMC Allen youth wing. Last day to RSVP is Wednesday, March 18, at 5:00pm.

Volunteers should be 7th grade and up. Confirmands are also welcome if accompanied by an adult, a good opportunity to earn service hours. If interested, email specialkids@fumcallen.org or call 214.385.8850 and provide your email and phone number.

Youth Ministry hosts a church-wide garage sale on March 21, 8:00am-12:00pm, to raise funds for summer mission trips. We'll accept donations from 9:00am-5:00pm on March 16-20.

If you have large items to donate and are unable to drop them off at the church, contact Eric Pugh to schedule a pick up.

Our trustees host a CHURCH WORKDAY from 9:00am-1:00pm. Available tasks include planting spring flowers, spreading mulch, trimming trees, cleaning windows, and cleaning out the garage. Want to help? Contact Larry Wright.

The City of Allen hosts the EGGCELLENT FAMILY ADVENTURE

in Allen Civic Plaza from 9:00am to 12:00pm. FUMC Allen will be there as a booth sponsor, passing out eggs, candy, and information about our church. Kids will register to win prize baskets, provided by each booth sponsor, with prizes awarded through the event. If you have any questions about FUMC Allen's booth, contact Mary Freeman.

Parents of Graduating Senior: These three SCRAPBOOK WORKDAYS have been scheduled at 10:00am in Y34 to help you finalize your pages for the Class of 2015 senior scrapbook. Each senior is allowed to submit two 8 1/2" x 11" one-sided pages for the book. We need parents to work on specific group pages, such as Playday, mission trips, choir tours, confirmation, GAW, UPWARD, Bridgeport, and Mardi Gras Madness, in addition to each senior's individual pages. The cost of the final book will be based on the size of the final book and number of books printed. For information, contact Eric Pugh.

Calling all bakers! Today, the Women in Mission hosts its annual PALM SUNDAY BAKE SALE. Bring your donations to the church on March 28 between 10:00am-12:00pm or between 8:00am-9:00am on March 29. To help during the sale, sign up at the church on March 22 or contact Judy Smith, judytvl@gmail.com.

FUMC offers SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES for full-time college students and graduating high school seniors. Scholarship applications and recommendation forms (for current college students only) are now available online at www.fumcallen.org/college scholarships.
