Enrollment is NOW OPEN for Faith Academy 2015. In our new curriculum, you will find classes that can prep you to run a 5K, teach you to create sacred art with oil paints, learn about self, motivation, behaviors and experiences, and understand how to truly be rich, and much much more.

Classes are held at First United Methodist Church of Allen, 601 S Greenville Ave, Allen Tx. On Wednesday evenings, we provide child care for children birth through age 4, offer Junior Youth Fellowship for our elementary age students in grades K-12, and BOOST bible studies for our youth, grades 7-12.

Curriculum kicks off on Sunday, January 11. To see a complete class list, visit our website at www.fumcallen.org and click on Event Registration. Or you can register THIS SUNDAY in the gathering area between worship services.

SOUL FOOD CAFE UPDATE

The new year brings a lot of new opportunities and requires that we let go of some of the things of the past year. Soul Food Caf�, which has provided a meal on Wednesday evenings, will not reopen due to the lack of a full-time chef and low attendance!

I certainly want to express my gratitude to the wonderful volunteers who helped prepare and serve the meal and for all who supported Soul Food Caf�. I loved the camaraderie that I personally experienced and will miss our fellowship time together!

God always has new things in store for us, and I trust that we will eagerly look to the coming year with much anticipation!

Online registration is now open for CREATED BY GOD, a human sexuality course taught from a Christian perspective for 5th and 6th graders. Mandatory parent meeting on January 14. Class dates are January 16 and 19. Contact Mary Freeman or register online at www.fumcallen.org.

Begin the New Year with the commitment to get involved in a Bible Study! Join Rev. Maxie Moore 4:15pm-5:30pm for a eight week COVENANT BIBLE STUDY, a study for those who want to learn how to love God and live in relationship with one another. The study emphasizes the biblical concept of covenant as a unifying pattern through-out the Bible. The study requires daily readings of several chapters each day. The cost is $20 and childcare is available if needed.

THE ENNEAGRAM JOURNEY by Suzanne Stabile is a 12-session DVD curriculum that teachers participants to use the enneagram, an ancient powerful tool for understanding ourselves, motivations, behaviors, and experiences.
