What's the next step in your spiritual journey?

That's the question we were posed recently in worship.  As you consider your walk with Christ and your discipleship as lived out in the church through your prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness, what step will you take to strengthen your journey?

As of November 19, 179 families have indicated that they are taking the next step by recommitting to the journey and the vows of membership.  In addition to recommitting to the journey, these families have estimated that they will give $905,932 in 2015 towards an approximate budget of $1.7M.

As we join together in recommitting to the journey and estimating our giving to the future we are building great momentum as FUMC Allen steps into its future.  We are taking bold steps to galvanize the hearts of our church families in a common effort to embrace all generations to join us on a life changing Christian-journey to change the world.

Each and every commitment/estimate of giving card is important.  No commitment is too small nor is it too large because it represents our united effort to build God's kingdom.  You can either return your commitment card to the church or complete an online commitment by clicking HERE.

In grateful response to all that God has provided and for our common calling to serve FUMC Allen, let us joyfully commit to serve and to generously give.  Thank you for all that you do.

In Christ,

TH
Rev. Todd Harris

 VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

checkbook-pen-banner.jpg

AUDIT TEAM
The Finance Committee is seeking volunteers with accounting or financial experience to serve on an audit team. Previously the church spent up to $15,000 dollars for an outside firm to conduct a professional audit of the churches financial records. We believe we have the capability within our membership to accomplish this in-house, at no cost, saving money that can go toward more ministry.

We anticipate that the work would require just one or two meetings to develop procedures and a perhaps a Friday-Saturday to conduct the actual review of the financial records. If you have experience with accounting/auditing and would be willing to serve on this team, please contact Church Administrator Larry Wright.

As Christians, we are called to go OUT into the world to do the work of Christ. At FUMC Allen, we track the hours our members IMPACT the community working as volunteers for various service organizations, such as Allen Community Outreach, schools, sport teams, scouts, and more.

Our 2014 year-to-date total is 5,932 hours.

Report your service hours on the registration form found in this bulletin, and keep up the great work.
