In recent weeks, the Ebola scare and surrounding health issues have been a top concern in our community. We have been assured that it is very unlikely that we would be faced with a direct exposure at our church. However, FUMC Allen has put together a Health Safety Task Force to ensure that we are doing all we can to minimize any risks.

You will be receiving more information from them at the beginning of next week.

In the mean time, it's Cold & Flu Season, and a good time to remind ourselves of the routine precautions we should take to control the spread of common infectious illnesses:

• Cover all coughs and sneezes with a tissue or use the crook of your arm
• Wash hands frequently with soap and water or use hand sanitizers if soap and water is not available
• Avoid touching eyes and mouth with unwashed hands
• Stay home if you are sick
• Get a flu vaccination

Join us TODAY at our FALL FESTIVAL 12:00pm-2:00pm in the SOUTH parking lot. Dress in your favorite costume, enjoy Trunk or Treat games, play laser tag, visit the petting zoo, and listen to great music. Lunch provided; all donations benefit our church's scholarship fund.
