On Friday, July 18, 40 youth and 10 adult chaperones begin a journey to MOUNTAIN T.O.P. in Tennessee. Prayer is a vital part of their mission trip, and you can participate by providing words of encouragement for the participants.

 

We are inviting all of you to take a few minutes to write a note (or two or more) and deliver them to the "Charlie Brown" mailbox located just inside the youth wing, no later than Sunday, July 13. You can also mail them to the church at 601 S Greenville Avenue, Allen TX 75002. Please write Mountain T.O.P. on the outside of the envelope.

 

No need to personalize the message to a particular person; our youth directors will make sure of their delivery.

 

Our youth and their chaperones will be commissioned in worship on Sunday, July 13, at the 11:00am worship service. They will depart from the church on Friday, July 18, and return on Sunday, July 27. Thu Jul 10

The LEGAL AID CLINIC on June 12 impacted the lives of 36 client families with the help of 8 attorneys and 16 other volunteers. Year to date, the clinic has helped 213 families with pro-bono legal aid, assistance, advice, and fellowship. Today's clinic at 6:00pm in the Fellowship Hall. The Sojourner Sunday School class has volunteered to provide the snack supper. If you have any questions or suggestions for the clinic, contact Kim Klieger, 972.679.7768.

  

Today is the last day to register online for UPWARD BASKETBALL CAMPS scheduled for the week of July 21-25. The 9:00am-12:30pm camp is for children entering grades K-1, and the 4:00pm-7:30pm camp is for children entering grades 4-6. $75 includes camp shirt, water bottle, and a basketball. Send Hope Mission Trip

Travel with Send Hope to Puerto Lempira, Honduras, July 27-August 8, to work at the House of Hope. Cost of trip is approximately $1,350. To learn more, contact Dr. Tom Brian by Sunday, July 6.

CROSS CHEER CAMP for girls entering grades K-5! 9:00am-12:00pm. Throughout the week, campers learn basic cheer techniques and enjoy crafts, snacks, games, and interactive devotionals. $85 includes T-shirt and a craft. To register, visit our website or contact Greg Schell.

TRIUMPH ALL STAR SPORTS & GAMES camp engages kids, grades K-6, in a new sport every day! Camp runs from 1:30pm-4:30pm, Mon-Thu. Register your child in both VBS and All Star, pack a lunch, drop them off at 9:00am, and pick them up at 4:30pm. $70 fee includes a T-shirt. Contact Greg Schell.

Music Ministry Presents...

Online ticket sales begin on July 9 for FUMC Allen's production of the Broadway classic Fiddler on the Roof, a powerful musical featuring a talented cast of 45 actors and a 30-piece orchestra. Enjoy such favorites as "Tradition," "Matchmaker," "Sunrise, Sunset," and "If I Were a Rich Man."

 

Tickets are $15 each for shows on July 30, July 31, and August 1 in the sanctuary. Each performance begins at 6:30pm with a free concert in the labyrinth. Contact Rev. Rusty King.
