Hydrangea Festival 2016
Calling all lovers of Sturgis Library and gardens! On July 9th and 11th, 2016, Sturgis Library will participate in the Cape-wide Hydrangea Festival, a series of garden tours sponsored by the Cape Chamber of Commerce to benefit non-profits.

Five Village gardens will be open to the public on Saturday, July 9th and Monday, July 11th, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.   All proceeds from the garden tours will benefit Sturgis Library, but we need your help to make this a success!

Important roles that need volunteers:  host/hostesses (2 per garden) for shifts of 3 hours each; potentially 2 parking directors at one garden for 2 days; cookie bakers and lemonade makers! You need NOT know gardens/flowers/vegetables, but you will meet lovely people, see fun gardens, and help build support and recognition for Sturgis.  Do join us for what potentially could be an annual event in support of Sturgis Library!

Volunteers Needed
Please call or send an email to Liz Ferretti, Hydrangea Festival Coordinator, (508)362-6546 or eabferretti@gmail.com indicating your availability on the following days/times to be a garden host/hostess, greeting people as they come and answering their questions.
  • Saturday, July 9th from 10 am to 1 PM or 1 PM to 4 PM
  • Monday, July 11th from 10 am to 1 PM or 1 PM to 4 PM
If you're interested in volunteering to help with parking, setup, baking, or lemonade making, please let Liz know.

And thanks!

FY2015 Annual Report

Sturgis Library's FY2015 Annual Report is now available online.  Our report is a little late this year as we were transitioning from our traditional print report to an online edition.  The online report format will allow us to keep you informed about our fundraising efforts and update donor information in real time. Look for more features coming in FY2017.

You can read the FY2015 annual report at www.sturgislibrary.org/annual-report-fy2015/

If you would like a print copy of the report, you can pick one up at the Circulation Desk at the Library, or call us at 508-362-6636 and we will be happy to send a copy in the mail.
