Save Our Lakes: Health Impacts of Toxic Blue-Green Algae Blooms in Alberta

There were over 20 Alberta lakes with Toxic Blue-Green Sherwood Park, AB Algae Health Advisories in 2012. 

We need to understand the issue and work together on solutions with a sense of urgency.

 

Come join us on the evening of Tuesday, March 19 at the Telus Centre for Professional Development on the U of Alberta campus for a social and educational evening dedicated to the issue of toxic blue-green algae blooms. There will be a screening of the CBC's "Nature of Things" documentary, Save My Lakeand a presentation and discussion lead by Dr. Ron Zurawell on the human health impacts of toxic blue-green algae. Water Week and World Water Day 2013

Canada Water Week is March 18 to 22, culminating in World Water Day on March 22.

Across Canada and Alberta there are events planned to engage in discussion and action on water issues. I heart my lake
