PlanLafayette, a community-wide effort which has been underway for nearly two years, will be unveiled during PlanLafayette Week. LCG has partnered with several community institutions to host activities around the plan's four big themes: Refine Government, Revitalize Neighborhoods, Reenvision Natural Resources and Reinvent the Hub City. The first of these activities, Big Idea Breakfast: Reinventing the Hub City, will be hosted by the Lafayette Convention & Visitors Commission Friday, Feb. 7 at 7:30 a.m. at the Vermilionville Performance Center. Recipe Of the Month
Our recipe for the month for February is inspired by our Spanish roots, Paella Louisiane. Paella is a staged recipe with each layering of flavors building depth of taste. The meats and seafood used can vary widely from this recipe, so feel free to go with fresh Louisiana Seafood that's available. Rice is important. We suggest Spanish bombe, arborio or a Louisiana long grain white rice. Whichever rice you use, follow the directions in adding the stock, since ratios will vary. Special thanks to George Graham for providing our monthly recipe. Get the recipe here.
