Discounts Offered on Leak-Stopping Services During National
Fix a Leak Week     

Water Authority partners with the
Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors Association
of San Diego to offer discounts 
  

  
With the potential for water supply reductions increasing with every dry day in the Sierra Nevada, the Water Authority and its member agencies have partnered with the local chapter of the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors Association to help residents and businesses save water and money during national Fix a Leak Week, March 16-22.

Participating association members will offer a 10 percent discount up to $100 during Fix a Leak Week on all products and services related to fixing leaks at homes and businesses in the San Diego region. No application is necessary; just mention the Water Authority partnership when scheduling an appointment. More information is at www.phccsd.org/Consumers.html.

The Water Authority will celebrate Fix a Leak Week by giving away toilet leak detection tablets at the festival from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Fix a Leak Week Classes

A session on how to find and fix indoor leaks is from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., and a session on troubleshooting outdoor leaks is from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Common Leaks Found in Homes and How to Fix Them 

Oceanside Civic Center Community Rooms

300 North Coast Highway, Oceanside  

10 a.m. to 12 p.m. 

 

From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. a licensed plumber from Green Plumbers USA will discuss the most common leaks found in homes, how to identify them and how to fix them. Call (760) 435-5802 to reserve a spot, or email esteward@ci.oceanside.ca.us.

Plant Fairs this Saturday
in Poway and Oceanside  


San Diego County Garden Friendly Plant Fairs feature discounts on more than 20 types of water-efficient plants, selected by a panel of experts for the San Diego region. The next fairs are March 14 from 8 a.m. to noon at the following locations:

The Home Depot, 12175 Tech Center Drive, Poway 

-AND-  

The Home Depot, 3838 West Vista Way, Oceanside

 

Industry experts will provide customers with information about water-efficient irrigation supplies and how to select and plant low-water-use plants appropriate for the San Diego region. The Home Depot certified nursery consultants will host informative how-to workshops, and local retail water agency staff will also be on hand with information about water conservation programs and services.
