Business Tip of The Week

Have You Assessed Your Brand Lately?

Your brand is important. It is a living thing. It communicates; it acts and reacts; it creates experiences; it helps you form a relationship and, if it is marketed correctly, it will become a part of people's lives.

Three components of a good brand are:

Brand Graphics - The visual appearance of your brand should reflect your company's persona as well as the service it provides.   It is, in essence, a snapshot of your company.  It must be visually stimulating and attractive to your targeted audience.

Brand Content - The content of your brand should convey the service your company provides as well as its overall philosophy .  Brands without content are confusing and will cause your company to be passed over by potential customers.

Brand Style  - When choosing the language, font and graphics for your brand you must consider your target audience as well as your own style preferences.  For instance, a company that manufactures construction boots should choose a strong, rugged style rather than a soft, feminine one, even if the company is owned by women.

It is important to assess your brand from time to time to be sure it is communicating with the widest audience possible.   Even established companies modernize their logos and tag lines from time to time.  Keeping your brand fresh and modern will allow your company to speak to new potential clients while keeping those who have been loyal throughout the years.

Snatched From The Fire Sportswear

After receiving a positive response to her book, "Snatched From The Fire", Patricia Amis decided to start a sportswear product line to empower victims of domestic violence.
She donates a percentage of all product proceeds to agencies that confront domestic violence. The logo displayed on the merchandise represents hope, faith, inner-peace and confidence, four values that she acquired when she ended the abuse that had existed in her life.

Patricia may now appear on Shark Tank, a reality series on ABC that offers entrepreneurs an opportunity to secure big business deals. BUT SHE NEEDS YOUR HELP TO GAIN 200 VOTES! Click on the link below, create an account and vote by selecting the "thumbs up" icon.

Congratulations to Patricia on making such a positive impact on the community and best of luck making it to the top!
