The DME CERT Outreach and Education Task Force has published a list of frequently asked questions surrounding Therapeutic Shoes for Persons with Diabetes. All of the questions are related to CERT errors in this category or derived from inquiries posed by suppliers during a Therapeutic Shoes for Persons with Diabetes webinar conducted in December 2015 by the DME CERT Outreach and Education Task Force.

The DME CERT Outreach and Education Task Force is comprised of staff from the four DME MACs whose focus is lowering the CERT error rate through education to the supplier community. The DME CERT Outreach and Education Task Force is not part of the CERT contractors or the CMS CERT team and plays no role in the calculation of the CERT error rate.
