On September 29, the ICF-NJ Chapter held an Appreciation Event for our volunteers. What we know to be true is two things. First, volunteers are the backbone of our organization and second:
"The number-one reason most Americans leave their jobs is that they don't feel appreciated."

We know that the unique qualities that each volunteer has brought to our organization were perfect for helping us generate ideas and execute upon them. Without the dedication and commitment of volunteers, we would not have in person events, webinars, tele-classes, coaching week activities, and much more.
Below is a picture that shows some of the volunteers who were able to attend the dinner at LouCas Restaurant in Edison, NJ.
To our volunteers, we applaud you! I invite you to join me in saying Thank You to our volunteers who have been diligently working to make ICF-NJ the organization that it is today!

"Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it. Embracing our vulnerabilities is risky but not nearly as dangerous as giving up on love and belonging and joy-the experiences that make us the most vulnerable. Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light."
~ Brené Brown
~ According to the 2012 ICF Global Coaching Study, credentialed coaches reported a higher-than-average income compared to non-credentialed-coaches. Great motivation to start tracking those coaching hours!
