Students are welcome to stop in for any part of services, which will all be in Haebler Chapel.  If you'd like a role services, such as an English reading or opening the ark, contact Yona Gorelick.

Following the conclusion of services on Saturday, there will be a break-fast for students
in the Hillel Lounge (Stimson Hall).

Taglit-Birthright Israel: Hillel Trip

If you are Jewish, aged 18-26, and haven't been on a peer trip to Israel since 8th grade, you're eligible for the trip of a lifetime!


This 10-day trip during the upcoming Winter break is a gift from Taglit-Birthright Israel, in other words, it's free!

Registration is open now, but the deadline is as of yet, unknown. So sign up before it's too late!

Engagement Internship Opportunity
Become a Goucher Hillel Engagement Intern!

 Build relationships and connect your peers to Jew life - on their terms.

Discover and deepen who you are as a Jew, a human being, a leader, and more.

Interns will receive a stipend of $500 for the year.
This internship requires approximately 5 hours a week. Hours include a weekly supervision meeting and otherwise flexible.

Sukkot Is Approaching: Celebrate with Hillel!
Sukkot starts Wednesday evening, September 18th.  Here are some great events to come to:

 

Sukkah
Monday, September 16, 11-2 (drop in anytime) on Hillel patio: 
We need help building and decorating the Sukkah! If you're interested in helping build, it will take place Monday, the 16th from 11 am-2 pm on the porch next to Hillel. We'd love your help!

Wednesday, September 18, 5:30-7 in Hillel.  Come at 5:30 for a short service in the Sukkah, then a first night Sukkot dinner will be at 6 PM.

Thursday, September 19, 7:30 at Chabad, join Chabad of Towson and Goucher at 14 Aigburth Road for the second night of Sukkot dinner at 7:30 PM (a group will meet at Hillel to walk at 7).

Friday, September 20, 5-8 PM in Welsh/Sukkah - Welsh Piano Room (if it is ready) for services at 5 PM; Dinner in the Sukkah at 6 PM.

Saturday, September 21, 12 PM in Sukkah  - Lunch and Learn with Israel Engagement Coordinator Adi Snir at 12 PM.     
Sunday, September 22, 2 PM - First-Year Event in Sukkah

Tuesday, September 24, 5-7 PM in Sukkah - Sushi in the Sukkah - Come roll your own sushi and enjoy with friends

Volunteers Needed!
7th Annual Walkabout Abilities Event

The 7th Annual Walkabout Abilities is being held at Goucher College on Sunday September 22nd

The Walkabout Abilities is a fundraiser walk that helps benefit the Abilities Network, which provides an array of programs for persons with disabilities. The Abilities Network's mission is to challenge the community to acknowledge the value and equality of people of all abilities. 

They are looking for volunteers to:  
          • assist with a sensory activities area for children, 
          • act as "cheerleaders" and encourage walkers 
          • serve ice cream from a donated Baskin Robbins ice cream cart.
