It is our pleasure to warmly welcome you to the Goucher College Hillel family. You may have gotten a letter from us in the mail, or this may be the first you're hearing from us. We want you to know that Hillel can help to foster friendships, create meaningful Jewish experiences, and prepare students to be engaged adults in a changing Jewish world, all while having a great time.
Hillel is the central address for Jewish campus life at Goucher College. Through Hillel, students find social and cultural connections, Shabbat and holiday celebrations, a full kosher meal plan, Taglit-Birthright Israel and Alternative Spring Break trips, a link to events and people in the wider Baltimore Jewish community, and opportunities to actively pursue social justice, Jewish learning, and spiritual growth. Goucher Hillel events are student-driven and open to all members of the Goucher community, regardless of faith or background.
Goucher Hillel's lounge is located in Stimson Hall, offering a place to hang out on our comfy couches, eat a kosher meal, or have a great conversation. Our space will undergo a major upgrade later this year, and we are excited about the addition of an Israel Fellow, Adi Snir, to our staff this fall. In addition to Hillel's programs, Goucher offers a Judaic Studies program and a full kosher dining plan under the supervision of Rabbi Y. Tzvi Weiss. We also
have a wonderful relationship with Chabad Jewish Center of Towson and Goucher.
Fall 2013 will be filled with opportunities. To the right are the dates for several of our opening events and holidays.
Students can claim a FREE Goucher Hillel T-shirt by attending one of Hillel's orientation events.
We look forward to getting to know each of the members of the Class of 2017 as you begin your college journey
