Purim's arrival means the holiday of Passover is just around the corner! Passover this year begins on Monday evening, March 25, the day after spring break. Rabbi Josh and Yona will lead a seder on campus that evening. If you wish to host a do-it-yourself seder, Goucher Hillel will provide you with a fully stocked seder plate, copies of a haggadah (the seder playbook) for you and your guests, and either dinner for your and your guests or funding for you to cook the seder meal. | Purim is Coming! Megillah and Carnival! | | |

Purim, the Jewish holiday of merrymaking, is this weekend! Shake a grogger, tell the story, wear a costume, eat a hamantasch, and have FUN!
Saturday, February 23, 7 PM: Megillah Reading in English at Towson Hillel. We'll read the whole story and gragg our hearts out with a little Manischewitz! We'll leave at 6:45 PM from Goucher Hillel to take a shuttle over to Towson (transportation by car will be provided). Don't be late! You can stay for the Towson Hillel party at 8:00 PM or join Chabad for their megillah reading and party. We 'll leave enough time if you want to get to Chabad's festivities later on.
Sunday, February 24, starting at noon: PURIM CARNIVAL at Towson Chabad, 14 Aigburth Rd. near Towson University. If you like inflatables, food, fun and games, come on over to the First Annual Towson Purim Carnival, benefiting several charities, and sponsored by Goucher and Towson Hillels, Chabad, AEPi and AEPhi at Towson. Each year the Goucher College community celebrates the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his contributions to our nation. This year Umoja invites you to participate in this celebration in the Hyman Forum of the Athenaeum.
Dr. Kelly Brown Douglas will give a talk titled "Martin's Dream in the Obama Era." Come out in support of this event as we continue to honor Dr. King's mission of peace, justice, and equality.

The Marilyn and Sigi Ziering Brandeis Collegiate Institute (BCI) offers young adults between the ages of 18 and 26 an intensive 3-week exploration of self, Judaism, community, culture, and nature in a pluralistic, international environment in Southern California. This summer's institute will take place from June 18 to July 14, 2013. There are full scholarships, including travel, available to students in the Baltimore area.
