Happy February!

The hill may be covered with snow, but all is still busy here for our faculty, staff and students.

 

Congratulations to our student-athletes!  The Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) just released their Fall 2014 All-Academic Team. For the fourth semester in a row, Immaculata led all conference institutions with 82 student-athletes.  Keep up your great work and thank you for making Immaculata proud! Read More  

  

 

For students in the College of Undergraduate Studies the tradition of the 100 Nights Dinner is still alive and well! Our future alumni will be celebrating on Friday, February 6. Following their dinner, the Offices of Alumni Relations and the Immaculata Fund are hosting an after-party in the Great Hall. Recent alumni are welcomed back to celebrate with the Class of 2015. Attention Alumni: Don't Forget to Vote!

Voting is underway for the Alumni Board of Governors. Voting will be open through March 15, 2015. Alumni are encouraged to vote for up to seven (7) candidates for the 2015-2016 Immaculata University Alumni Association Board of Governors. Networking & Leadership Event
The Offices of Alumni Relations and Career Development from the Southeastern Pennsylvania Consortium for Higher Education (SEPCHE) invite all alumni to an evening of networking at the members-only Pyramid Club in Philadelphia, on Thursday, April 16. World Meeting of Families - Meet the Artist   

You are invited to a presentation by Kennett Square, PA artist Neilson Carlin, on Monday, February 2, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the Green Room of Villa Maria Hall. Carlin was commissioned to create the icon image of the Holy Family for the World Meeting of Families scheduled in Philadelphia this September. Learn More

In the last edition of "Highlights from the Hill" we asked the following: 

On January 26, 1975 the Mighty Macs of Immaculata defeated the Maryland Terrapins 80-48 in College Park, Maryland. What was the historical significance of this particular game? 

 

Answer:

It was the first nationally televised women's basketball game in the United States. The game was shown on the Mizlou Television Network to over 100 stations.
