A Note from the Office of Alumni Relations
The Christmas season is upon us and our annual Carol Night celebration, held on December 5, was beautiful as always!  Special thanks to Immaculata's music department and students for a first-class production in providing the sounds of the season. Our thanks to those who could join us for this annual tradition. We hope you enjoyed the spirit of the season!

Prior to the Carol Night singing, alumni and friends enjoyed snacks and refreshments in the Great Hall.  Members of the Class of 1965 also gathered to kick-off their 50th reunion with a special reception hosted by Immaculata's President, Sister R. Patricia Fadden, IHM, Ed.D.

If you couldn't be here in person, be sure to check out Immaculata's facebook page for photos taken throughout the evening. You can also enjoy a recording of the event, posted on the University's YouTube channel.

Much has happened on and off the hill this past year. In fact, as the ole saying goes, 'every picture tells a story.' We hope you will enjoy some of our favorite photos which provide a glimpse of our year-in-review:

To view photos from all of our events this past year, you can visit our website to be directed to your favorite event. We're happy to be able to share these memories with you, and look forward to making new ones with you in the new year!

We are thankful for all you do for Immaculata. Wishing you God's blessings throughout this Christmas season and year ahead. We look forward to seeing you in 2015!

Immaculata Trivia
Did You Know...

The Rotunda tree was not always the main feature of Christmas at Immaculata. In the first decade of the University, a stable and all the figures of the Nativity scene filled the center space. Later, the Nativity scene was moved to the chapel and the tree with the Infant as its base became the enduring symbol of Carol Night and the Christmas season.

And the Answer is...
In the last edition of "Highlights from the Hill" we asked the following:

Towards the end of Carol Night, the lights are dimmed and everyone joins in the singing of which Christmas carol?

Answer:
Silent Night

Thank you to all who participated!
