During Commencement, the 2014 Lindback Distinguished Teaching Award was presented to Barbara Gallagher, M.Ed., an assistant professor in the Department of Human Movement Sciences. This award is given annually to a faculty member who demonstrates excellence in teaching. Congratulations Barbara. Read more

A Memorial Day Reflection

This past week, our nation celebrated Memorial Day; a federal holiday for remembering the men and women who have died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. John C. Church Jr. is a colonel in the Marine Corps Reserve and an assistant professor in the English/Communication Department at Immaculata University. He recently shared the post "Memorial Day: What It Is And Is Not About" with the Immaculata community; you can read more here.

Immaculata University Down the Shore - July 12

Are you headed to the shore this summer? We are! Plan to join alumni and friends for the fourth annual "Immaculata University Down the Shore" event on Saturday, July 12 at the La Costa Lounge and Deck Bar in Sea Isle City, NJ.
A special rate at the La Costa Motel is available for Immaculata Alumni, and the two-night minimum stay requirement will be waived. Get your tickets now, and we'll see you "Down the Shore!"

IU Offers Two New Endorsement Programs
Beginning July 2014, the College of Graduate Studies at Immaculata will offer two fully online Endorsement Programs for teachers that are approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education: Instructional Coaching and Mathematics Coaching. Read more about this program here.
M.A. Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with School Counseling Certification
Expanding upon its stellar reputation in Graduate Psychology, Immaculata University is now offering a 72-credit Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with certification in School Counseling for grades PreK-12 starting July 1. For further information, click here.
Baseball Team Earns CSAC 3-D Award
The Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) released the 3-D Award recipients for the 2014 spring sports and the Immaculata baseball team claimed the honor for the first time in program history. The 3-D Award honors the teams from each sport that best exmplified the NCAA Division III principles of "Discover, Develop, Dedicate." Read more about this distinguished honor here.

Did You Know... The Immaculata Alumnae Association was formed on June 1, 1925. That first graduating class, thirteen in number, became the first alumnae in the association.
