A Note from the Office of Alumni Relations

The temperatures are starting to warm up and it is great to see green grass once again.  At least we won't lose the Easter Bunny in the snow!

 

At a recent Alumni Board of Governors meeting, the following have been elected as officers for 2014-2015:  

President - Kathy Freney Smith '90

First Vice President - Paul McAndrew '10

Second Vice President - Kathleen James '74

Recording Secretary - Mary Lou Cassidy Kramer, Esq. '70

 

Congratulations to our new officers and thank you for your commitment.

 

We have been informed by Harris Connect that the Alumni Directory should mail by the end of the month to all who ordered. If you have questions, please call Harris Connect at 1-800-877-6554.

 

Before your Easter celebration, we hope you will take time to register for Alumni Reunion Weekend. There is something for everyone and different from the last time you were here. The Saturday night party under the tent will feature Victory Brewing Company's "Brew Pub on Wheels."  We can't brew  at "Mac's Pub" unless we hear from you! Click here and sign up today.

The Highest Honor

 

The honors continue for the '72, '73, & '74 Mighty Macs who will be enshrined into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, MA on August 8. As the highest honor in basketball, entrance into the Hall of Fame recognizes outstanding contributions to the sport. Congratulations and enjoy the moment!

Congratulations Are In Order

Congratulations to the Immaculata University Enactus team for being named a finalist in the opening round of the Enactus United States National Exposition League. We are proud of your accomplishments.

 

Congratulations to all of our graduate and undergraduate students who showcased their latest research  during the annual "Posters Under the Dome" event held last week in the Rotunda.
 

20 Days at  IU

The Office of the Dean of Students is sponsoring a class competition, "20 Days at IU."  Students are being asked to submit pictures representing life at IU in April 2014 to be placed in the time capsule, which will be located in the new West Campus Apartments.  The capsule will be reopened in 50 years- 2064!

 

Lace Up Your Sneakers

The Student Dietetic Association is hosting its annual 5K Walk/Run, the "Be Mighty Runner", on Saturday, April 26 at 9:00 a.m. More information about this event can be found here. All proceeds will benefit the Nutritional Development Services (NDS) of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.  So, lace up your sneakers and register now for a great cause!
