THE BUILDING MANAGEMENT NEWSLETTER

In May, the campus is busy with interesting events for all! Some of the events scheduled include-

The 44th Annual Stanford Powwow and Art Market - May 8-10th

The Stanford American Indian Organization (SAIO) and the Stanford Powwow Planning Committee will host the 44th Annual Stanford Powwow held in the Eucalyptus Grove at Galvez and Campus Drives.  The Stanford Powwow is open to the public and overnight camping spaces are available.

Amy J. Blue Award Ceremony - May 13th

The Amy J. Blue Awards honor staff members who are exceptionally dedicated, supportive of colleagues and passionate about their work.  The awards were established in memory of Blue, an associate vice president for administrative services and facilities who died of brain cancer in May 1988.  This year's event will be held at 3:30pm at the John A. and Cynthia Fry Gunn Building.

Health Matters Community Day - May 16

Stanford Medicine will host Health Matters Community Day.  As part of the event, the Stanford Life Flight helicopter will be landing for display and tours on the Mudd lawn.  (You may want to share this information with buildings in your area that may see the helicopter landing and taking off during the day.)

  Multicultural Springfest
Multicultural Springfest is a popular campus event that features the best traditions - fun and food! This year, Springfest is held on May 21st from 11AM-1PM.

Springfest celebrates the diversity of Stanford staff. Staff performers sing and dance, while enjoying a great meal and catching up with friends across campus.

A special recognition ceremony, Cardinal at Work Celebrating Staff Careers, will be included again this year to honor staff with 30, 35, 40, 45 and 50 years of service.

The Springfest poster is designed by Stanford staff, this year's by David Rose. The involvement of staff makes this event special and we look forward to attending every year.
