THE BUILDING MANAGEMENT NEWSLETTER
|
The LBRE Operations Center main number, 723-2281 has migrated to a new phone system that will now have a front end menu. There will be four menu options that will help streamline the routing of calls.
1) Urgent Facility need - 24/7 live person
2) Information on how to enter an online work request and/or leave a voice mail
3) Inform us of a Noise Concern - 24/7 live person
4) Stanford University Directory Assistance - 24/7 live person
No pick-up option will be given to leave a voice mail or hold the line for the next representative.
Thank you to all that took the time to complete the KPI Survey (there is still time, deadline is 5 pm today, 8/1). The results will be shared with our Building Managers in the September issue of From the Ground Up.
Zone Management sponsored another well attended training class last month, Building Fire Systems, How Do They Work? Guest speakers were Frank Miranda and Jarnail Dhalla from the Stanford Fire Marshall Office (SUFMO). A very interesting session and I learned a lot about fire systems throughout campus. We plan to hold more training sessions, including guided tours of the Building and Grounds Maintenance yard during Fall Quarter, so watch the newsletter for scheduled dates.
If you can't attend our sessions, please look for the class notes on the BGM web site http://bgm.stanford.edu/For more recent session, look under the Announcements, but all notes from past classes are listed under Quick Links, Building Manager Training Archive.
