August is a quiet month on the Farm for most academic programs, but Zones hit the ground running over the summer to complete projects before school begins. Zone Management has several projects that are waiting for summer camps and conferences to end, so that we don't disrupt them with our noise and dust. One is a lighting upgrade at Dinkelspiel Auditorium. Another important project is to repair the fixed seating in Registrar assigned classrooms across campus. There are roof projects, dodging both campus activities and rain, now in progress at TCSEQ, Cantor, Jasper Ridge, Arboretum Childcare and EH&S. That is just a brief highlight of summer work in Zones.
This issue reflects our busy renovation/renewal summer period. We are publishing a smaller edition than usual, but I want to point out a focus on Maps and Records. Over the next few months, we plan to write about the tools that have been developed and the M&R staff that design and implement these planning tools.
Countdown to a new Academic Year!
