THE BUILDING MANAGEMENT NEWSLETTER

Summer is here, with less traffic on campus, but more Summer Youth Camps pouring across the Farm. It amazes me how many Camps there are, and what a range of programs the Schools and Departments offer. Everything from science and math for 8th grade girls, to ID Gaming, Youth Orchestra and International Studies. What a great way to meet others students your age and develop your skills for the future. Click here for the website for all the academic summer camps. Athletics also offers a range of great programs; gymnastics, fencing, swimming and more traditional Camps such as football and golf, click here for their website. So when you are sitting at an intersection and a group of 50 young students cross in front of you, try to figure out what Camp they belong to.
Summer also brings hotter weather, so take good care if you are working or working out under the sun. I have to give a special THANK YOU to EMCS (see last month FROM THE GROUND UP for details on this work group) and the HVAC and Plumbing Shops for working to ease the outcome of the chilled water curtailment during this heat wave. I also want to thank all of our Building Managers for understanding the situation and being proactive on reducing usage hours in buildings to help us get through this difficult period on campus.
HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!
