ACPE's International Services Program (ISP) Launches Facebook and Twitter Pages
With great excitement, ACPE's International Services Program proudly announces the official launch of our new Facebook and Twitter pages. The ISP team hopes to use these two social media platforms to provide yet another venue for us to share our activities and to allow you to stay connected to our events and initiatives. We look forward to your contribution as well, and we are very excited to read your feedback, experiences, and ideas.
Through our Facebook and Twitter pages, ISP will share important updates regarding our certification program, consultation services, workshop and training sessions, and long term projects. Even though ACPE's official website remains the primary source for the latest information regarding ISP, the most up-to-date news, recent publications, announcements, photos from various trips, meeting outcomes, and presentation details will also be reflected on our social media pages. As a Facebook "Fan" or a Twitter "Follower", you will be able to join the conversation, communicate directly with us, and support the ISP mission and vision.

International Commissioner Feature: A. Patricia Acuña-Johnson, MSc, Valparaiso, Chile stated:
"As a Chilean Pharmacist, I have spent most of my professional life in the School of Chemistry and Pharmacy at the University of Valparaiso, Chile. Although my initial plans were to teach and conduct Pharmacology research, early and unexpectedly I was involved in leading administration positions in higher education, first at the School and the Faculty of Pharmacy, and later at Institutional levels. Over the years, my involvement in various national and international forums and commissions guided my interests towards Pharmaceutical Education. Our responsibility as educators is to engage Pharmacists to be an active component of the Health Care Team. Today, more than ever, curricula must respond to what society needs from their professionals. In many countries, this has meant moving from a Pharmacy curriculum with a strong foundation in basic sciences towards one focused on the patients.
As a member of ACPE's International Commission, I have been informed about the various efforts of Pharmacy Schools around the world to count on quality-assured certified Pharmacy curricula evaluated by international peers, in benefit of the Pharmacy practice each country needs. At the same time, this has been an opportunity to meet a group of Pharmacists involved in Academia and Pharmacy practice, extraordinary human beings and professionals whose common goal is to have better Pharmacists worldwide."
