Fall Break
Fall Break is here. Enjoy time together with some family friendly activities! 
 
*Go to a pumpkin patch and carve pumpkins at home. This is something they will love to do.
 
*Find a corn maze. Have a competition  to see who gets out first. 
 
*Go to an apple orchard. Bake a apple pie together.  
*Go to a haunted house. There are all around the state!

*Attend a harvest festival. Events include pumpkin weigh-offs, scarecrow contests, craft fairs, and much more. 
 
*Have a home cooked meal together. Your student probably misses that.
 
We hope everyone has a fun and safe fall break!

Halloween Events on Campus

Fall is officially here, and Halloween is just around the corner. The Student Events Team is hosting its 6th annual CSU Haunted Takeover "Escape the Purge" Wednesday, Oct. 26 from 9 p.m. to midnight.
This event will test your ability to survive a purge. Be prepared for a entertaining and scary night with your friends.

Students are FREE with their MavCard and public admission is $5 at the door. Do not forget to wear your close toes shoes otherwise you will not be allowed in.

The Student Events Teams is showing the movie "Don't Breathe" in Ostrander Auditorium starting at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27- Saturday, Oct. 29. View more showtimes here.

The event is FREE for students. Concessions will be available during the showing. 
SERENDIPITOUS TIDBIT 
Before the Flood 
The MNSU Zoology Club is hosting the FREE screening of the documentary Before The Flood.
 
This film brings awareness to climate change, featuring Leonardo DiCaprio, Fisher Stevens, and is produced by Martin Scorsese. Afterward, there will be a panel discussion of local climate change experts.

Doors open at 7:30 p.m., the will film starts at 7:45 p.m. followed by the discussion.

Food for Thought

The Thought for Food (TFF) Challenge is calling for the best university students from around the world to form teams to help develop solutions addressing the global challenge of feeding more than nine billion people by the year 2050. This is your opportunity to help make the world a better place.

You will work with world class mentors that will assist you in developing your plans into reality while using the TFF Design Lab. There are cash prizes up to $25,000 and opportunities to participate in TFF Bootcamps.

To participate, create a team profile online of 3-5 students. At least one member of your team will need to be signed up by Oct. 31, 2016. Teams must submit their pitch by Jan. 8, 2017 by 11:59PST.
