Throughout the weekend, there are a lot of fun events in store for students and their families. One of the biggest events is held is the Chicago Boyz Acrobatic Team from America's Got Talent! They are a professional gymnastics troupe consisting of talented young men and boys from the Chicagoland area. The performance includes outstanding acrobatic stunts, tricks inside twirling jump ropes, catapulting off mini trampolines, and thundering tumbling routines with incredible timing. This is a performance you want to miss. The event will be held Friday, Sept. 23 in the Bresnan Arena, Taylor Center at 8 p.m.
Don't forget about the Maverick Football game on Saturday with kick-off at 1 p.m. This is a great time to show off Maverick pride. Saturday night the Student Events Team is hosting Family Feud! Just like the Television Show, strangers, and families will be brought together to create memories that will last a life time. There will be four half-hours shows with a comedy hour with Tyler Boeh between the second and third shows at 9 p.m. The first two shows will be family friendly and the last two shows will be "R" rated shows. Each show will feature a Maverick Question in which entails asking questions about the campus.
Sunday is all about sports! Watch the Minnesota Vikings play the Carolina Panthers at noon in the Maverick Bullpen TV Lounge or the Maverick Women's Soccer team at 1 p.m. at the Pitch. At the same time, the Highland Center Pool and the Otto Recreation Center will be open and free to enjoy.
Minnesota State Mankato looks forward to having their students and parents participate in Family Weekend and we hope it is one you will remember forever.
