The Reward of Academic Rigor
By: Matt Brown, Academic Dean

Santa Clarita Christian School has proven itself to be grounded in Biblical truth, training up Christ-followers to live out and defend their faith through a curriculum that presents a distinctively Biblical worldview. What an awesome privilege and blessing for those who choose SCCS for their children!

SCCS also provides a rigorous academic experience for all students, one that supports each student's strengths and areas of need. Each class within our specially designed academic program is created by our faculty to encourage students academically and to best prepare them for the expectations that will be placed on them in college.
Fall Fundraiser- Saturday, November 7
Mark your calendars for SCCS' biggest fundraisers of the year! On Saturday, November 7, SCCS families will come together for a night of fun and fellowship for the whole family. Highlights of the evening include: a 50's themed dinner, car show, student talent show, silent auction and live auction.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit the SCCS science and athletics departments as well as other campus improvements and programs.

The online auction begins October 19. Click here to view the online auction items. If you are not able to attend the fundraiser, this is a way that you can still be involved and support the school! We have lots of exciting items to bid on like: Principal for the Day, Disneyland tickets, activities with teachers, local restaurant gift certificates and much more!

We look forward to seeing you there!

Do you have an item/service you'd like to donate to the auction?
SCCS Shaping Culture in the Mold of College, Pro Level
By: Lorrie Reyes
Article taken from The Signal Newspaper

When Santa Clarita Christian saw the Dallas Cowboys during training camp on Aug. 10, they noticed some familiar scenes.
Chazz Anderson, Santa Clarita Christian football's offensive coordinator, directs players during practice at Canyon Country Park. Anderson played quarterback at the University of Buffalo and the University of Cincinnati. Signal photo by Katharine Lotze.
It wasn't just the faces on the field the Cardinals recognized. It was how the players practiced.

"They were doing stuff exactly how we do it," said SCCS head coach Garrick Moss. "It was amazing to watch how these NFL guys were moving through their training camp practice. And our kids were like, 'that's how we do things.'"

Since offensive coordinator Chazz Anderson joined the Cardinals' staff in April 2014, he's helped shift the program toward a more collegiate-style offense, weight training program and practice routine. Click to read more.
SCCS 2015-16 Cheerleading Squad
We are proud to announce cheerleading is back at SCCS and it's better than ever! Coached by Chelsea Anderson and Sierra Agulair, SCCS now has eleven varsity and ten junior high cheerleaders.

"I am so blessed to be able to coach this group of girls," said Chelsea. "They have worked hard all summer and their hard work has definitely paid off. They are a great group of girls who have brought me so much joy and laughter. We are looking forward to a great season!"

The team has many fun routines planned for halftimes and the girls are really looking forward to performing their homecoming routine at the homecoming game October 3rd. They have been working on this routine since the middle of summer.

"This year junior high will also be cheering at all the home football games with the varsity cheerleaders," said Chelsea."Please come out and show your support this year to the SCCS cardinal football team and cheerleading squad. Go Cardinals!"
