Bridging the Gap: Ottawa Community Wellbeing Report

The Association of Ontario Health Centres (AOHC) and the Coalition of Community Health and Resource Centres of Ottawa (CCRC) produced the Bridging the Gap  report using the framework of the Canadian Index of Wellbeing (CIW), one of the world's leading instruments to measure societal progress. The Making Votes Count Where We Live initiative brought the data to life through community consultations.

As this report is released 111 community health centres and partner organizations across Ontario are participating in Community Health & Wellbeing week part of the Shift the Conversation initiative.

AOHC is working with the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario and the Association of Ontario Midwives to defend our public health care system by opposing medical tourism. RNAO has initiated a freedom of information request to find out where medical tourism is occurring and what the Ontario government role is.
