Revamped Community Initiatives Tool launched

The newly revamped Community Initiatives (CI) Tool was launched this past week at the Community Health & Wellbeing Summer Institute. Community Initiatives are a valuable resource for the sector and the new tool aims to make it easy to share and document the effectiveness of CIs in improving health of communities we serve.  This new resource has both inventory as well as evaluation components and includes the archive of past initiatives.

You can learn more about the tool, login* and view training videos here: http://aohc.org/community-initiatives-tool

Training webinars will also be available starting in September.

EMR update

NightingaleEHR, the replacement Electronic Medical Record system for Nightingale-on-Demand, received conditional certification by OntarioMD this month and will be conducting its first implementation in Ontario beginning in August to complete that certification process.

The AOHC EMR Team is monitoring the roll-out to see how it may impact Francophone centres that are waiting for the confirmation that NightingaleEHR is in fact ready for use by AOHC members.  The Team also went through NightingaleEHR training recently which may, under the Information Management Committee's direction, inform the team's potential support role for centres implementing NightingaleEHR.
