The Grand Bend and Area Community Health Centre announces Cate Melito as new executive director
   

Congratulations to Cate Melito who will be joining Grand Bend and Area Community Health Centre (CHC) as their new Executive Director. Cate will be joining the CHC in August 2014 and will be a tremendous asset.

 

Cate Melito is currently the AOHC Board Chair and was formerly the Executive Director of the Woodstock and Area Community Health Centres (CHC).

South Riverdale CHC's Newcomer Perspectives on applying the Canadian Index of Wellbeing

 

Presenter: Andrew Omurangi, Manager, Newcomers & Families

 

At the South Riverdale Community Health Centre (SRCHC), community development workers see the CIW as a tool to strengthen efforts to community-wide health and wellbeing initiatives conducted at the neighbourhood level. Specifically the centre is applying the CIW to its Sustaining Health Advantage Initiative, a three year effort designed to improve health outcomes of newcomers whose health generally declines after they arrive in Canada.
