South Riverdale's CHWW Event: 10 years of the Dundas Bike Lane
Community Health and Wellbeing Week started with great enthusiasm! AOHC members and community partners have been working hard out in the community. The CHWW series of events highlight the eight CIW domains and the social determinants of health. These events show how these organizations and communities are shifting the conversation about health through work that happens during CHWW and every day.

Support for detained immigrants

Health For All is asking people to sign a petition in support of 180 immigrant detainees recently moved to Central East Correctional Centre in Lindsay. The detainees are calling for better access to medical care and social workers, an end to constant lockdowns, better access to legal aid and legal services, etc. Some are long term detainees in jail for over 7 years because Canada has no limit on how long a person can be held before deportation.
