AOHC calls for action now to maintain services at Hamilton Urban Core Community Health Centre

At an afternoon rally in Hamilton on Tuesday afternoon, Adrianna Tetley, Executive Director of AOHC, called for a commitment from the Hamilton Niagara Haldimand Brant (HNHB) Local Health Integration Network that it will maintain the same level of services at Hamilton Urban Core Community Health Centre (HUCCHC).

For many years, people served by the centre, most of whom live in poverty, have accessed HUCCHC services out of a cramped and broken-down building. Although the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-term Care has approved a new building, the LHIN has not yet guaranteed that services will be maintained in a new setting.
