Consultations underway for Ontario's next Poverty Reduction Strategy

The Ontario government has begun consultation meetings by invitation only in select communities. A meeting was held in Windsor August 6, and London August 16. AOHC is trying to get the list of meeting dates and locations as it develops and will share it with our members in those communities.

If you want to initiate a consultation meeting in your community, AOHC suggests you call your MPP to check if they have any plans to organize one and then identify a date that works for your group. You could partner with local legal clinics who are following this approach. To get a copy of a kit to help you prepare for the meeting contact jacquie@aohc.org.

Online survey

The government is also collecting input via an online survey until October 4th. AOHC is preparing suggested responses to the 9 questions to share with you.
