Bramalea CHC to host Ontario Oral Health Alliance symposium
Is your CHC interested in learning from other oral health coalitions in Ontario?
Come to the Ontario Oral Health Alliance symposium hosted this year by Bramalea CHC on May 31st.
At the symposium, you will:
- Meet with others concerned about access to affordable dental services
- Learn strategies to address inequities in access to dental care or expand what you are already doing
- Add to information-sharing from dental coalitions across Ontario
- Get an update on MOHLTC work since Dr. Arlene King's 2012 report on oral health

Ontario's 2013 budget will be released next Thursday, May 2. AOHC reps will be in the "lock up" to find out what it says and will send out our commentary later that day.

Comedian Martha Chavez to emcee Working Better Together conference
Nominated for six Canadian Comedy Awards, Martha Chavez is one of this country's most prolific and entertaining comedians!
She began her comedy career in 1993 and since that first time on stage, nothing has been abel to keep her away from doing stand-up.
She has appeared on CBC's Just For Laughs, CTV's Comedy Now and on stage for CBC's ACCENT on Toronto, which highlights comics from every cultural background. Martha is fluent in four languages and has performed around the world. |

New sessions added! Effective governance for quality and patient safety learning sessions
This governance training will not only enhance current governance skills within primary care models, but it will provide boards with understanding of their role to support the development of Quality Improvement Plans (QIP), and in turn, support implementation of the newly forming Health Links.

Get your ducks in a row with AODA regional workshops
AOHC's provincial AODA trainer, Constance Exley, is touring the province to help centres better understand and comply with the four new standards under the AODA: Information and Communications, Employment, Transportation, and Design of Public Spaces.
AOHC is offering its members a FREE 2-hour workshop on the new Integrated Accessibility Standards (IASR) under the AODA.

DEADLINE EXTENDED Enhancing interprofessional primary care survey
The Canadian Alliance for Sustainable Health Care (CASHC), a research arm of the Conference Board of Canada is asking for your assistance to help develop recommendations to enhance interprofessional primary care (IPC) teams in Canada as part of our research report series, " Improving Primary Health Care Through Collaboration".
This 15-question survey should take less than 30 minutes to complete.
