Due to a substantial increase in import excise tax by our Federal Government, a scheduled increase by Habanos SA in Cuba and a dramatic increase in mailing costs over the past two years, we will be posting new prices on all cigars and increasing the club prices. The increase is already in effect, but we will post the increase as of June 1, 2014
Prices were changed based on a complicated formula of landed costs by the importer, but overall the incease was 22%. Havana HOuse of Canada has agreed to absorb 10% of the increase, leaving 12% overall increase. Still a lot I realize, but at least they helped out.
Remember, you save 20% when you buy by the box of 25 or more, even when you do a mixed selection of 25 cigars. Plus if you're a club member you receive your 5%, 10% or 15% discount on top of the box price savings.
Why the club increase? If we do not pass on the price increase to the clubs, the increased costs reduce our budget. This budget determines the quality and variety of Cuban cigars in each club, so if costs go up and we try and absorb them, the quality of cigars suffers greatly.
If you did the math on buying four club cigars indiviually and paying shipping you would see what an amazing offer the clubs are, then add the advantages of being able to buy additional cigars with your club discount and when you add them to your club box shipping is free as well.

All our billing will be at the posted prices and not converted from US to Cdn, so International customers will benefit from the exchange rate due to the strength of the US dollar, less whatever international transaction fee your card carrier applies of course.
To our Alberta club members, we will use the prices above and add Alberta Tobacco Tax and GST to your total as usual.
