Greetings!
Here is another friendly reminder for American Thanksgiving coming sooner than you think. I was caught off guard with our Canadian Thanksgiving, so I will keep mentioning it so you have time to fill your humidors!
Some of the 2012 Limited Editions have arrived and we have added them to our website on the brand speciific page and the LImited Edition page to make shopping easier.
We only rec'd one box of the New Cohiba Pyramide Extras, so while they are on the site, delivery may be delayed until more stock reaches Canada.
I do have sticks available that you can add to a box you are mixing with different cigars. Just limited quantity right now. I did smoke one and my review is included in this newsletter. Remember, this is NOT a limited edition, it is an addition to the already full line that is Cuban Cohiba.

EDICION LIMITADA 2012 PARTAG�S SERIE C No.3.
The Partagas Serie C No. 3
comes packaged in wooden boxes of 10 with each cigar wrapped in dark, upper priming leaves culled from shade-grown Cuban black tobacco plants.
It measures 5 1/2 inches by 48 ring and is the seventh Partag�s size to be part of Cuba's Edici�n Limitada campaign, which began in 2000.

Cohiba Piramides Extras

 I have waited a long time for a piramide from Cohiba and they sure went all the way making this one. Impeccible construction as with all Cohiba, fine aroma and an amazing color to the wrapper.
The cigar started fairly mild, and gained strength at about the 1/2 point. I think I was expecting the flavors of a Siglo VI or robusto, but was pleasantly surprised at a unique woody tone with some brewing coffee in the flavor and aroma. There were the traditional leather and cedar found in other Cohibas, but this was more earthy to me.
Later I found a small vanilla note and a sort of toasted pine nut in the finish. Overall similar to a Siglo VI but stands well on its own and seems to have more depth of flavor. The 54 ring offered an abundance of smoke, so nothing is missed.
Another fine release from the top cigar maker in the world. These expensive entries are finely crafted and high end, worthy of the name Cohiba, but I think we have enough now. I do wish they could make a petit robusto next time.

 I smoked this cigar when it was first released and it was enjoyable then. Fast forward 4 years to today, this cigar has matured and aged extremely well.
My advice if you can find one buy it.
Por Larranaga is usually a milder cigar but this regional release is on the lower end of medium strength.
The cigar I smoked had a lighter wrapper a 2/6 and the wrapper was smooth as silk.
I enjoyed this cigar with a Balvenie 14 year old single malt whiskey, the pairing was perfect.
When I first lit the cigar I tasted sweet butter with a hint of honey coupled with dry cedar. The last half of this cigar had all of the mentioned flavors but an earthiness evolved that tied everything together. This was a very enjoyable cigar and a pleasant surprise,

A Halloween Joke!
A couple was getting ready to go to a Halloween party but the wife had a terrible headache. She told her husband to go anyway. After a short argument he agreed, and she took some aspirin and went to bed.
Later she awoke and felt great, so she decided to go to the party and see what her hubby did when she wasn't around. As soon as she arrived, she noticed him on the dance floor getting very friendly with every hottie in the place, and groping them when he could.
She then cut in and rubbed close to him. When the song ended, he leaned over and whispered in her ear, "Let's go outside." So the two costumed characters snuck off and occupied themselves in one of the parked cars.
Midnight was to be the unveiling of the party-goers, so she slipped out and went home before the clock struck twelve.
When he got home she asked, "How was the party? Did you meet any interesting people?"
He replied, ''You know me, dear. I don't have a good time when you're not with me. I ran into a few friends and we ended up in the basement playing poker & smoking Cuban cigars.
That beats the party any day. The party wasn't very fun at all. But the guy I loaned my costume to had the time of his life!"
