Do you compare yourself to others? Or even sometimes feel envy? It's not just a modern problem.
This rap version of Psalm 73 captures the feeling as if it were written today. "For I envied the proud when I saw them prosper."
 | MC Boogalu performs Psalm 73 in the New Living Translation of the Holy Bible. |
It's a striking lament about life's unfairness and the bitter feelings that can result. In the end, however, the psalmist finds the solution: "Whom have I in heaven but you?" he declares to God. "I desire you more than anything on earth."
Should that be our desire today? More of God--not more of what others seem to have? Standing on that firm foundation, what next steps will you take? Let the rap help you reflect.
Bits 'n Pieces
Still reflecting: Here's a short article I wrote on "Hope" published in the June 2013 issue of In Touch Magazine from Charles Stanley Ministries. To read it, click on the image.

Praise Workshop:
My kindest thanks to the Daughters of Pentecost Women's Conference at my home church in Denver for inviting me to present my praise workshop, "Come Out With Your Hands Up," at their conference in mid-May. Quick summary: Praise God before trying to fight your problems because "the battle is not yours, it's the Lord's."
WHAT I'M READING
"The Pursuit of God" by A. W. Tozer. It's classic. Compelling. Encouraging. Faith-refining.
