APR and REVO Partners announce open house to demonstrate the evolutionary Gidue M5 press on November 12th and 13th.

All Printing Resources is very excited to announce a technical partnership with press manufacturer Nuova GIDUE. This relationship includes the installation of GIDUE's revolutionary M5 17" wide UV flexo press at APR's Technical Center. GIDUE is the recent winner of the Label Industry Global Innovations Awards for 2014. APR will be hosting, along with GIDUE and their REVO partners, an Open House at their facility on November 12th and 13th.  Live demonstrations of the M5 will be presented as well as other innovative technologies.

This latest flexo press innovation from GIDUE was developed to fully automate the work flow, set-up, and running of the press to acheive unsurpassed process consistency, efficiency, and cost reductions. This press when combined with state-of-the-art expanded gamut technology allows flexo to compete on very short runs with digital presses.

Mind Your Graphics - Labeling Requirements & Regulations for Package Printing

In  2015, the FDA will release a new and improved nutritional table format, aimed to make it easier to read and understand in an effort to make label information a more valuable tool for consumers.

Once finalized, the industry will have two years (from the effective date) to make sure labels and packaging are in compliance. While CPCs have most likely already engaged their teams to start researching these changes for their product lines, it will certainly take time to update all labels to conform. The good news is that there are simple software solutions for prepress providers to help ensure a new product label is in compliance with these regulations, as well as update legacy art by changing the parameters or affected elements, provided software is kept up to date.
