SUPPORT THE 2014 CBFNC STATE MISSIONS OFFERING
"Given in Love"
Click here or the image to the left to see a pictorial overview of the width and breadth of the ways CBF of NC is helping churches reach the state and the world with the Good News of Jesus Christ.  This year, our missions committee is challenging the church to help support state missions with a $2,000 church contribution to the state goal.

MUSIC NOTES

The season of Lent is rapidly approaching.  This Sunday will be the last Sunday before it begins, and we will be celebrating communion as well.  Easter is late this year - April 20th - which will seem to many of us more like a "normal" Easter with the weather likely to be much warmer.

This year, we are not having a Palm Sunday night program, but our choir will be participating in a Community Good Friday service that will be hosted by First United Methodist Church on the evening of April 18, 2014.  Please mark your calendars and plan to attend this event.  Our Chancel Choir, along with the Methodist Choir and many of our singers from the Moravian Lovefeast will be presenting a tenebrae themed program entitled "Shadows."  Dr. Mary Hellmann and I will be putting together this community service.

As a reminder, the Children's Choir will rehearse on Wednesday at 5:30 pm and the Chancel Choir rehearses at 7:30 pm.

See you Sunday!

CHILDREN'S NEWS AND YOUTH HIGHLIGHTS
Children & Youth
It is an exciting week as we celebrate Logan Arnold's decision to accept Christ and be baptized.  I hope you'll be able to join us in celebrating with him this Sunday morning.

This Sunday, after morning worship, we will be holding a Vacation Bible School interest meeting. If you are able to help out with VBS this summer, please join us in the conference room immediately following the service.  We are excited about the possibility of working with Cann Memorial Presbyterian Church and expect a number of volunteers from there to attend as well. Join me in welcoming them to this meeting.

I look forward to seeing you this Sunday!
