MID MONTH SUPPER THIS WEDNESDAY AT 6:00 PM
Join the Feast!
The mid-month supper is a highlight of our church life every time we gather.  This December's meal tomorrow, Wednesday, December 18, is no exception.

Come and enjoy mealtime together as a congregation at 6:00 PM.  Bring your favorite dish, side or dessert (and a guest or two) to round out the feast!  After supper, we will have an old-fashion carol sing and enjoy a Christmas skit by our own KMD ("Kids Making a Difference") class.  Join in the yuletide fun tomorrow night.

CHRISTMAS CAROLING WAS GREAT!
This past Friday, over 25 carolers left the First Baptist Church to bring Christmas cheer to many of our members who are homebound or live in facilities or institutions.  It was a great evening of fun, fellowship and fa-la-las!

Special thanks to to Barret Kidd for dedicating his organizational skills to putting his passion for music to work in ministry and for bringing so many together for a great cause.

BINGO! BINGO! BINGO!
Get Off Your Rocker And Get In The Game of Life!

Coffee will be ready at 9:30a.m; refreshments at 9:45 a.m; Bingo begins after our morning devotion at 10:00 a.m.

This week, after the games, trivia and jokes conclude, all are invited to remain for a light luncheon together.  No reservations are required, but if you know you'll be attending and you haven't been before, we'd love to know you're coming.  Just call the church office, and we can e sure to have enough to share!
MUSIC NOTES

As a reminder to the Chancel Choir, we will not rehearse this week on Wednesday.  Rehearsal is cancelled so that members may attend the Virginia Symphony Brass Concert at Arts of the Albemarle.  We will still have children's choir, and brass rehearsal as usual.  Also, Chancel Choir members will meet Saturday evening at Carlton and Louise Harris' house for a little festive time.  While there, we will rehearse a couple of anthems that we will present in the following Sunday services.

See you Sunday!

CHILDREN'S NEWS AND YOUTH HIGHLIGHTS
Children
Our KMD Kids will be putting on a skit entitled Just a Little Christmas this Wednesday during the mid-month supper. We are excited about seeing all of you there to celebrate this special time of year, and celebrate being in one another's company. Bring your favorite dish and enjoy the evening.

Youth
Our FBC Youth are getting ready for their Christmas break and have been hard at work with all of their extra-curricular activities. Most of our youth participated in the Elizabeth City Christmas parade as part of the NHS and PHS marching bands. As Christmas plans to be with family start getting close, please make sure to keep all of our youth and their families in prayer for safe travels. Before they head out, however, our youth will be a big part of the FBC Christmas Eve service. Be sure to make plans to attend!
