FELLOWSHIP BREAKFAST THIS SUNDAY MORNING!

Start this Advent off right with a hearty, home-cooked breakfast together in the Social Hall at 8:00 AM this Sunday morning, December 1.

Breakfast time is for the entire church family, and the women and children of the church are encouraged to come and enjoy this special time together, too.

MUSIC NOTES

This past Saturday was the first of the rehearsals for this year's Moravian Lovefeast.  I think we were all very pleased with how it went, and we are looking forward to the service on Thursday, December 5, at 7:00 pm.  The second rehearsal will be this coming Saturday, November 30, at 10 am.  If you are a chancel choir member and did not make the first rehearsal, please plan to be at the second one.  It is very important as we are singing two new anthems this year.

I'm very excited to tell you that the Center Players will be performing at the Moravian Lovefeast this year!  As many of you know, the Center Players is a children's musical theatre program and you have seen them on stage performing musicals over past several years.  However, they also sing quite well as a choir.  The will be presenting Non Nobis Domine during the special music portion.  This will be sung in Latin, a capella, in a three-part round.  You will not want to miss this song!  Lauren Luther, also a Center Player member, will be the guest soloist this year, and we are very excited to have her sing for us.

All in all, things are shaping up to be a very memorable Lovefeast this year, so we hope that you will plan to attend.  Be sure to come early to get a good seat!

This Sunday is the beginning of Advent, and also very close to Thanksgiving.  The Chancel Choir will be presenting a Thanksgiving anthem entitled We Gather Together and we will sing a combination of Advent and Thanksgiving hymns as well.

One final thought, the Chancel Choir will be rehearsing a little early this week - 7:00 pm instead of 7:30 pm.  We will try to keep it to 45 minutes.

See you Sunday!

CHILDREN'S NEWS AND YOUTH HIGHLIGHTS
Children
Our KMD kids are getting geared up for turkey and all the fixin's and ready to enjoy the Thanksgiving Holiday, along with a break from school. This Saturday, November 30, we will be having a Christmas ornament making party in the social hall from 3-5. All are welcome. It promises to be a fun time and we look forward to seeing you there.

Don't let that loose change gather in your pockets or on your night stand, make sure and donate it to the one dime at a time fundraiser the KMD kids are putting on. All the proceeds will go to benefit the Albemarle chapter of the Red Cross. A little change can go a long way.

Youth
Our youth are making progress on their room, and looking for ways to make it better. While it is not complete, feel free to take a peek in.

Don't forget to make plans to stop by and have a pancake breakfast with us on Dec. 8. We serve up some great eggs, bacon and of course pancakes, starting at about 8:30 a.m. There is no cost, but donations are gratefully accepted.
