CHILDREN'S NEWS AND YOUTH UPDATES

Children

You might have noticed a KMD Kid asking for your signature before church these past few Sundays, or had one of them sitting in the pew next to you recently. Our KMD Kids are participating in "One Dime at a Time," and these are some of the things that help them earn points during this fundraiser. The money raised for this will be going to the Albemarle Chapter of the Red Cross, and we need your dimes to help.

Halloween night was a blast, and I would like to take the time to thank everyone who donated candy and their time to make the night a success. We gave out all of the candy donated, and had a great time trick-or-treating out on the parsonage lot.

Youth
This coming Sunday, don't forget our pancake breakfast to help support our FBC Youth. They will be making pancakes, bacon and eggs and we look forward to seeing you there. We will be serving breakfast from 8:30-9:30 in the social hall. Come on out, have a great meal and support the youth.

MUSIC NOTES

A big thank you the Chancel Choir this past Sunday for their presentation of Jesus Shall Reign.  The trumpet part played by Kyle Lacasse was wonderful!  Thank you to all of you for your hard work and dedication.

As you can see, we are rapidly moving toward the Advent and Christmas seasons.  These days just seem to fly by, don't they?  In about three weeks, the Community will be back in action in preparation for the Moravian Lovefeast.  This service takes a lot of effort by a lot of people and I would like to thank everyone in advance for all of the work ahead.  It will be worth it, as this service has become an important part of the life of our community. As a reminder, the service is Thursday, December 5, at 7:00 pm.  If all of the plans work out, it should be a memorable service this year.

See you Sunday!
