CAN YOU HELP?
CEAP needs substitute drivers for Meals on Wheels, especially this time of year when the snowbirds leave.  A car is needed. The route they need right now is on Thursday.   The route is similar each Thursday.  Contact Ken Lundgren for more information at 763-424-9654 or call the church office if you can help.
WORSHIP CENTER NEWS

"I just love how warm and inviting the room felt"
"It made the service feel like a big event"
"I didn't even notice them,
but I could feel that something was special"
"The lighting set the tone of the service,
 and helped me focus"

This is what we heard from you. Were you with us for the Sara Groves concert last year? Thanksgiving Eve? What about Christmas Eve? We tried something a little different, and new. We went out and rented a few LED stage lights to add back-lighting in our beautiful Worship Center.
One of the challenges of our space has always been the massive blank walls at the front of the sanctuary. It is difficult to beautify those large spaces with seasonal artwork or fabrics due to the size and composition of the concrete walls.

SENIOR AND BELL CHOIRS

The Prince of Peace
Senior Choir  (rehearsals Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m.)
and Bell Choir   (rehearsals Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m.)
NEEDS YOU!

musical notes
Music has always been a very important part of worship and everyday life at Prince of Peace Church.  At this time, the choir needs to grow it's numbers.  They especially need more new voices during the winter months when a good number of the regular choir members travel to warmer places.

Email John Myszkowski at johnfmyszkowski@comcast.net for more information.  Or drop by practice on Wednesday nights at 7:00 pm.

The Bell Choir meets on Wednesday at 6:00 pm. in the Worship Center.

Be part of the music ministry here at Prince of Peace.  You'll have fun and get to know a great bunch of people!
QUILTERS

Thank you

Thank you

Thank you!

The POP Quilters want to thank all who supported our December quilt sale, either by the purchase of quilts or the donation of sheets or fabric.  It was our best sale ever!
We extend a special thank you to Diane Hasse for the beautiful reversible professionally-finished quilts that she donated for the sale!

Quilts that were left over after the sale were donated to Brooklyn Avenues (the new youth homeless shelter) and the Vets Hospital. Proceeds from the sale will be used in the coming months to make quilts that provide warmth and comfort to those in need through various worthy community organizations.

We find working on these quilts to be a labor of love, and welcome anyone who would like to join us for a morning of fellowship!   We meet from 9 am to noon on the first, third and fifth Wednesdays of each month, September through May.   You only need to know how to tie a knot or cut a square - sewing skills are not needed!
MILITARY BOARD
In the hall going towards
the Sunday School wing

The bulletin board has stars with names on it.  The stars will be taken down and and we are requesting that information on our active military men and women, such as branch, location, etc and a 2 x 3 size picture be submitted.

The board will be cleaned up and ready for information by the end of February.  Please submit your information to the office or email lynellk@princeofpeacechurch.org with the information, we can print it.
CHURCH LIBRARY
Many of our church neighbors have come to this country as refugees from war in their homelands or as immigrants to find a better life for themselves and their children.

The church library has several good books on display that tell stories of their struggles in their country and adjusting to life here ....

Our next POP Tots is on Saturday, February 6th.

DIGGIN In, a Lenten Ministry for PreK-6th grade that allows them to dive into the Lenten theme is returning February 10th @ 6:30.   We will meet in the Chapel every week of Lent from 6:30-6:55. Each week we will spend time diving into the theme through stories, experiences, and crafts or games.

WELCOME TO PRINCE OF PEACE

Welcome To Prince of Peace!

Check out our  welcome video! This professionally produced video will give visitors to our website a glimpse of what we are all about at Prince of Peace. The video can also serve as a fantastic way to invite others to Prince of Peace. We bet that you know at least three people who are not active members in a local congregation. Take a moment and send them a quick email with the link to this video. We also encourage you to share the video on your own Facebook page. It is an easy and effective way to let folks know about the wonderful outreach and ministry happening at your church and to let them know that they are invited!
