SPECIAL CONGREGATIONAL MEETING 


There will be a special congregational meeting held on Sunday, May 3 (this Sunday) to vote to issue a Call to Natalia Terfa to become our Assoicate Pastor

The meeting will begin at 10:00 am (following the first service).  There will be a ballot vote, the ballots will be counted and the results announced.

All members of Prince of Peace are invited to attend this special congregational meeting.

If you have children and you wish to attend this meeting, your children are welcome in the Education Wing for the duration of the meeting. For those of you that normally attend the 9:00 service, feel free to stay in the Worship Center, and we will watch your children. For those of you that normally attend the 10:30 worship, if you would like to attend the meeting (highly encouraged) please feel free to bring your children to the Education Wing at 10 am before the meeting starts.

The food truck will be in our parking lot around 10 am, ready to take your order for  an omelet, potatoes or a smoked pork sandwich. Bring a blanket or your lawn chairs and, weather permitting, let's have a breakfast/lunch picnic on the front lawn!

SUMMER SCHEDULE starts
Sunday, May 24th

On May 24th there's one worship service at 9:30 am

Wednesday Evening
Potluck and Worship
will begin Wednesday, June 3rd. 

Potluck at 5:30 pm, Worship at 6:30 pm.

We will follow the summer schedule for Sundays through September 13 (Rally Day) and Wednesdays through the last Wednesday in August, August 26th.

POTLUCK .. we need individuals, families and groups to volunteer to host Wednesday's potluck.  Volunteers will prepare a "main" dish (sloppy joes, hot dogs, tacos, etc), set up for the potluck (make coffee and/or lemonade) and clean up.  After the meal, food receipts can be turned in for reimbursement. 

Sunday and Wednesday will be different services (different sermons).  Plan on attending one or both and please consider signing up to be a host for a Wednesday night meal.

PLANT SALE

Do you have your flowers yet?

If not, visit the Prince of Peace Plant Sale on Sunday morning, May 10th. We will have extra annual packs and hanging baskets for sale. All proceeds of the Plant Sale help support our young people who are heading to WAPO this Summer.

  • IF you ordered plants (from the Church) for the plant sale, they will be available for pick-up on Saturday, May 9th from 10-2.
  • If you ordered plants from a specific youth, they will contact you to set-up a delivery time.

CHURCH PICTURE DIRECTORY 


Photography Dates:  June 22 - 26 ... 2 pm - 9 pm

We will be producing a new picture directory.  Please plan to have your picture taken.  Our new picture directory just won't be complete without you! 

You will receive a call from Life Touch about signing up.  There will also be opportunities to sign up on line and at church.  More information to follow.

HELP NEEDED ....
We need to provide hosts for the photographers each day.  Shifts will be 2-5:30 pm and 5:30-9 pm. 

As a host you will welcome people to the session and check them.  Can you help?  Call the church office or email Lynell at lynellk@princeofpeacechurch.org.
JEANS AND JUNK

May 17th join the team that cleans up the stretch of highway that Prince of Peace is responsible for. 
Wear jeans to church and bring some gloves.  It's a fun way to get the job done.  The more the merrier!

Tickets are $22 each.  We'll be sitting in section 302.

The Library and the Out Reach team would like to give a big THANK YOU to all who donated the 256 children books and 55 adult books to be read by the children of the So books uth Dakota

Pine Ridge Indian Reservation schools and in a newly established coffeehouse.     

   

Thank you to Wes and Judy Henrickson for transporting these books to the reservation!

 Are you looking for a good book to share with your child?  The church library has a display of recently acquired books for your spring and summer reading.   

 

There are also some good "reads" for adults that you don't want to miss.
