BROOKLYN AVENUES YOUTH SAFE HOUSE

Monday, March 11 Brooklyn Park City Council voted unanimously to approve funding for the "Brooklyn Avenues Youth Safe House" which will be a 10 bed short-term housing program for homeless youth in our area. Pastor Chad and several other POP members joined folks from a dozen other area churches at the council meeting in a show of support for the project. The exact location of the youth safe house has yet to be determined but one of the proposed sites would make POP the closest church to the new center.  Click this link for more information and watch for ways to be involved in this important outreach!

HIGHWAY CLEAN-UP

There will be two shifts - one at 10:15 a.m. and one at 11:45 a.m. Bring your grabber if you have one and we'll supply the orange vests and garbage bags. Sign up by email Suej.johnson@comcast.net. Snacks will be provided. Any questions, call Sue Johnson at 763-424-7748.
